Emergency Fund for Rutgers University LGBTQA Students
Who We Are
The Center for Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities (SJE) provides educational, social, and leadership development programs for LGBTQA students, allies, and staff/faculty liaisons. Founded in 1992, hence our $19,920 goal, our center works closely with The Office of the Deans of Students, and dozens of campus partners on the New Brunswick campus, to ensure Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer students build a thriving community and recieve holistic support.
What We're Doing
The goal of this project is to create an emergency fund for LGBTQ-identified students at Rutgers University. These funds will be used on a discretionary basis to provide emergency relief for queer students in need of housing, food, tuition assistance, school supplies, and other necessary expenses to help ensure their safety, health, and academic success.
How YOU Can Help:
Since the founding of one the oldest campus-based LGBTQ student groups in 1969, the Rutgers LGBTQA student community has made tremendous progress. Your support is absolutely vital to ensure our progress continues.
