Help Muggle Mayhem Raise for Ecological Preserve!

Muggle Mayhem, a student-run community service organization, wants to raise money to put maps and educational signs within the Ecological Preserve at Rutgers University. Located between Livingston and Busch Campuses, the Rutgers Ecological Preserve and Natural Teaching Area was formed with the goal of preserving the natural ecological characteristics of the property and serving as an outdoor teaching area for the university. The current management of the EcoPreserve tries to maintain this balance of preserving and restoring the area’s ecological system and natural values while continuing to expand the EcoPreserve’s role as an educational, recreational, and aesthetic resource for University students, faculty, and staff as well as local residents.

The goal is to make the EcoPreserve a welcoming and enlightening place for the broader Rutgers community.  Adding signage to the preserve would help with safety and education. Trail map signs would designate trails so visitors would not get lost among the various trails in the preserve. Educational signs posted throughout the preserve would enhance the experience of walking in the trails by providing additional information about the wildlife that inhabit the area.

You can help us achieve this goal by donating money! The signage for the Ecological Preserve would cost $1,500 for trail map signs and $2,500 for 12 educational signs. Every dollar contributed will help us get closer to achieving these goals!
