EMSOP Alumni Student Support
Help pharmacy students grow as professionals!
Students at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy are among the best in the country, and excel both in their studies and beyond. Conferences provide these students invaluable opportunities, which include showcasing their work, interviewing for jobs, networking, and advocating for our school. These conferences range in scope from local to national, and are associated with significant costs. The EMSOP Alumni Association is raising funds to support students in these activities.

“Attending local and national pharmacy conferences enables students to gain a fresh perspective of our practice. When the EMSOP Alumni Association offered to sponsor a group of students to attend the 2017 NJPhA Convention, I was ecstatic to have my peers meet with pharmacy professionals and students from all over the state. The value of networking was absolutely invaluable and I hope that more students will have a chance to attend conferences with the continued support of the EMSOP Alumni Association.”
Students face daunting costs associated with pharmacy school – tuition, room & board, textbooks, and conference-associated expenses. Student registration fees at local conferences are usually around $50, while those for national-level meetings can exceed $300. Travel and lodging add to these costs. For some students, these costs influence attendance.
Our students will directly benefit from your assistance. By donating you will alleviate conference-associated costs, enabling students to grow professionally and represent our leading pharmacy program.

"At the NJPhA Annual Conference in 2017, I was able to present a poster about the current state of Telepharmacy practice within the United States to fellow students and current healthcare professionals. The feedback and support that I received from pharmacists and students alike allowed me to strengthen my current research and motivated me to continue researching into the growing practice. Additionally, the connections that I made at the NJPhA Conference carried into my involvement in APhA as many of the professionals and students that I met there, I would meet again later in my year. The support that I received here has been crucial to my development as a student pharmacist!"
