For 40 years, Answer has been providing and promoting medically accurate, LGBTQ-inclusive sex education. We know that young people need high-quality sex education to make healthy decisions, which is why we train educators every year and provide engaging, youth-friendly resources for young people. Help us raise $10,000 to support additional honest, accurate sexual health content for our youth websites. This includes teen-written content as well as videos, which we know appeal to our youth audience and are an excellent way to provide sexual health information remotely.

Our fundraiser will directly support the teens who write for Sex, Etc. by covering the cost of teen training, paying the teens for their writing, and covering the cost of video producers who work directly with our teen staff to create video content. Sex, Etc. teen writers undergo rigorous training on sexual health, media skills, writing, leadership, and other important topics. Each year nearly a million young people around the world visit Sexetc.org to receive potentially life-saving information when they may have been feeling curious, scared, or isolated.
Personal Message
This year, Answer celebrated our 40th anniversary. Since 1981, when we were founded as the Network for Family Life Education, Answer has remained laser-focused on our mission of providing and promoting comprehensive sex education to young people and the adults who teach them. During this time, we have provided resources to millions of young people, facilitated professional development workshops for thousands of teachers, and had the honor and privilege of amplifying the voices hundreds of young people through our Sex, Etc. program. Your support will help us continue this important work as we begin our journey through the next decade towards our 50th!
Why are donations necessary?
This year we saw laws passed on the state level that overturn womens’ right to abortion care. We testified at State Board of Education meetings that were publicly debating the importance of consent education in schools. We listened and provided support to schools when small but vocal parent groups tried to repeal comprehensive sex policies. This year was the worst year on record in recent history for states passing anti-LGBTQ legislation. Support for sex education is essential right now. Unfortunately, none of these fights are over, but we will continue to be there to provide support to the teachers and school districts that call on us. Your donations ensure that young people, educators, parents, and caregivers continue to have access to all of the essential programs and resources Answer provides.
