As many of you have seen through social media, lots of great things are happening here at Rutgers Newark Baseball at this time. This summer, we were fortunate to be able to add 2 tremendous new coaches to the coaching staff in Coach Reardon and Coach Mayo, who came in and immediately made a major impact in all facets of the program. This September, we were able to launch our first-ever Rutgers Newark Baseball Prospect Clinic, helping us streamline and improve the way we recruit. In October, we were able to able to bring back our Fall Alumni Game, a great event that helped connect our current players to the alumni who have helped build the legacy and foundation of this program before them. At the conclusion of our Fall baseball season, we completely overhauled our Strength & Conditioning program, and our boys have been hard at work in the weight room and on the turf improving their speed & athleticism all semester long.

As we look forward to spring, we are incredibly excited to travel to Florida for our first warm weather southern trip since 2019! This is a great chance for our program to compete against top competition in warm weather. In addition to this southern trip, our program hopes to purchase new pitching machines, extra baseballs, training equipment, team apparel, uniforms, and to continue to make improvements to our facilities. We have been relentlessly fundraising all Summer and Fall through prospect camps, and by working concessions at NJ Devils hockey games to help offset these costs. Even after these efforts, there is still much more needed to bridge the gap to fund our trips and to be able to continue to provide our players with a first-class experience.
Personal Message
I reach out today with a great sense of hope and optimism. After wrapping up a great Fall baseball season here in Newark filled with many “firsts”, I am incredibly excited for the spring semester when we will get to play our first FULL season of College Baseball since 2019!

This year more than ever, as we look to make strides as a program and challenge ourselves to compete for an NJAC Championship, we are leaning on our alumni, family, and friends of Rutgers Newark Baseball.
